Easter in Stuttgart and Italy: customs, pastiera and Pasquetta
Easter is the festival of the Resurrection and also a spring festival. Germany and Italy celebrate it differently, with much in common: family, walks and a special meal.
Customs in Germany
The Easter bunny hides coloured eggs, families go for an Easter walk, and in many places an Easter fire is lit. The date changes every year: Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring.
Pasqua in Italy
At Easter Italians bake the colomba, a yeast cake in the shape of a dove. In Naples the pastiera belongs on the table, a tart of wheat, ricotta and orange-blossom water. On Easter Monday people celebrate Pasquetta with outings and picnics.
Time to eat together
The Easter holidays are for many a chance to go out for a meal with family and friends. If you want a table over the holidays, ask in good time.
Easter at L'Antica
Around Easter, the design of our website puts on a festive look. At L'Antica Pizzeria Napoletana in Stuttgart you can enjoy Neapolitan pizza and fresh pasta. Want to drop by? Reserve a table or view the menu first.
