Restaurants in Stuttgart-Süd: Where to Eat in Heslach & Around Marienplatz
If you're looking for a great meal in Stuttgart, sooner or later you'll end up in the Süd: between Marienplatz, Böblinger Straße and Heslach lies one of the city's liveliest food neighbourhoods.
Why Stuttgart-Süd is special
Half of Stuttgart meets at Marienplatz for an evening aperitivo, the famous Zacke rack railway climbs the hill, and along Böblinger Straße one owner-run restaurant follows the next – character instead of chains.
Italian food in Heslach: L'Antica Pizzeria Napoletana
Right in the middle, at Böblinger Str. 51 (a few minutes' walk from Marienplatz), we bake real Neapolitan pizza: dough matured for 48–72 hours, San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte.
- Pizza napoletana – from the classic Margherita to our bianca creations
- Homemade pasta – like spaghetti tossed inside a parmesan wheel
- Antipasti & salads – Burrata Caprese, carpaccio, bruschetta
- Italian wines & aperitivo – Aperol Spritz on the terrace

New: open for lunch on weekends
On Saturdays and Sundays we're now also open 11:00–14:00 – perfect after the market or a stroll across Marienplatz. Evenings as usual, Tuesday to Sunday from 5 pm.
Terrace, reservations & getting here
In summer, sit outside on our terrace; inside fills up fast – book a table. Take the U1, U9, U34 or the rack railway to Marienplatz; from there it's a short walk along Böblinger Straße.
