Christmas in Stuttgart and Italy: markets, panettone and nativity scenes
From the first Sunday of Advent to Epiphany, the scent of mulled wine and roasted almonds hangs over Stuttgart. It is also worth looking at Italy, where Christmas has traditions of its own.
The Stuttgart Christmas market
The Stuttgart Christmas market is one of the oldest and largest in Germany, with a history going back to the 17th century. Hundreds of stalls, a huge Christmas tree and a children’s area make it a popular Advent destination.
Christmas in Italy
In Italy panettone and pandoro belong on every festive table. On Christmas Eve many regions traditionally serve fish; in Naples that often means spaghetti with seafood. Neapolitan nativity art is famous too: on Via San Gregorio Armeno in Naples, elaborate nativity figures are made all year round.
Celebrating in a restaurant
Many teams, clubs and families hold their Christmas party in a restaurant. In December the popular dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early, especially for larger groups.
Christmas at L'Antica
Around Christmas, the design of our website puts on a festive look. At L'Antica Pizzeria Napoletana in Stuttgart you can enjoy Neapolitan pizza and fresh pasta. Want to drop by? Reserve a table or view the menu first.
